Kalki 2898 AD, headlined by PAN India star Prabhas, is currently in the production stage. The movie is set in a futuristic world, and speculations are rife that it has a connection to Indian mythology. Nag Ashwin, who earlier directed Yevade Subramanyam and Mahanati, is helming this big-ticket flick.
In a recent interview, the film’s dialogue writer, Sai Madhav Burra, said, “A movie like Kalki 2898 AD hasn’t come till now, not just in Tollywood but in the entire Indian film industry. The film’s genre has never been explored before in Indian cinema. It is a next-level movie. You will get the feel of watching a Hollywood movie. You won’t feel like watching a Telugu or Indian film. Even RC15 is a magnanimous project, and I am glad I am part of such films.”
Some of the best actors in the country, like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, are playing crucial roles. Ashwini Dutt is producing this prestigious under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, while Santosh Narayanan is composing the tunes. Kalki 2898 AD releases on 9th May, 2024.
