Ever since the combination of Prasanth Neel and Prabhas was announced, people expected it to shatter records and 'Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire' turned out to be a blockbuster. Prasanth Neel showcased Prabhas in a way that his fans wanted and set the stage perfectly for the second part.

Prasanth Neel did not announce the release date of 'Salaar 2' at the end of the first part. He himself revealed in interviews that he is yet to shoot 'Salaar: Part 2'.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the role of Varadharaja Mannar while Prabhas will be seen as Devaratha. Shruti Hassan is the heroine who listens to the entire flashback while Jagapathi Babu is seen as the father of Prithviraj and Shriya Reddy who played the role of Radha Rama. Hombale Films banner produced this flick. Eeswari Rao played the role of Prabhas' mother in this pan-Indian movie. Ravi Basrur is the music composer while Bhuvan Gowda is the director of photography.
