Prabhas Salaar Made Its OTT Debut

Rebel Star Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, helmed by Prashanth Neel as high octane action entertainer co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, has crossed the Rs 600 crore mark at the global box office. Now, the film has made its debut to OTT with its release on Netflix India, in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam languages.

As Hindi has a rule to maintain seven week window gap between Theatrical release and OTT release. Netflix opted to omit Hindi version. Salaar Hindi version will be added very soon. Initially the film was supposed to make its OTT debut on January 26 or February 4. But, all of a sudden Netflix announced that they are bringing Salaar on 20th January.

Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, Salaar revolves around two friends Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj). It also stars Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu and Sriya Reddy. The high octane action sequences and Prabhas in a Massy role worked well with the audience.

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti on January 14, Prabhas announced his next film, a romantic horror The Raja Saab and unveiled its first poster. The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, will be released in the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
