The latest action film "Salaar," directed by Prashant Neel and starring Prabhas, has been receiving a mixed response from audiences. But It's on track to achieve record breaking collections, having already surpassed 500 crores globally.
Prabhas Fans in the Telugu states are particularly delighted as it's been a while since they've had such an exciting cinematic experience. Since the good success of Baahubali 2 at the box office, Prabhas' fans have been eagerly awaiting a movie of similar magnitude, and "Salaar" seems to be fulfilling that wish.
While initially facing competition from another film Dunki, which didn't garner the expected positive response, "Salaar" is now taking over theaters where Dunki was being screened. In the Nizam area, "Salaar" set a break-even target of 60 crores, and within just five days, it collected 59.17 crores.
The sixth day witnessed packed theaters, especially in single-screen cinemas, indicating that it's on track to break even in Nizam on the sixth day itself. After this point, all subsequent collections will translate into profits for the film.
The movie is also making strides in Andhra with strong collections, although it might take a bit longer to break even there due to the higher target and lower ticket prices. In the Hindi belt, "Salaar" is expected to cross the hundred crore mark by its sixth day, showcasing its widespread appeal and success across different regions.
