With hundreds of crores at stake, actor Prabhas’ highly-anticipated pan-India action drama, Salaar: Ceasefire, is gearing up for its massive world theatrical release on December 22. Needless to say, the hype and expectations among fans and trade circles on Salaar’s box office performance are touching the sky just as the release time is fast approaching.
Amid this unprecedented buzz, Salaar’s advance bookings in the USA began around a week ago. The FDFS tickets are being sold out like hot cakes and many screens are displaying the sold out boards already. As per the latest trade updates, Salaar has already grossed a whopping $1.7 million from the US pre-sales. With a day still remaining for the premieres, the film is all set to enter the $2 million club with the pre-sales alone.
Prabhas enjoys a humongous fanbase across North America, and this craze will help Salaar touch unexplored boundaries in terms of first weekend box office collection in the region. Whether or not Salaar manages to surpass Prabhas’ all-time highest US grosser (Baahubali The Conclusion ($20.8M) upon its theatrical release remains to be seen.
