Shah Rukh Khan is all set to thrill his fans with his action-packed film Jawan after his blockbuster success of Pathaan earlier this year. The film, directed by Atlee, also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. Jawan is slated to release on 7th September in standard, IMAX, 4DX and other premium formats, coinciding with Janmashtami.
But that’s not all. The makers of Jawan have also announced that the film will be accompanied by two big trailers of upcoming films – Salaar and The Great Indian Family.
Salaar is an action thriller starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is scheduled to release on 28th September 2023. The Great Indian Family is a comedy film starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is expected to release on 22nd September 2023.
Salaar and The Great Indian Family: Two different genres to entertain the audience
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The highly awaited trailer of Salaar is expected to be out in the first week of September. If all goes well, it’ll be the second biggest blockbuster in September after Jawan. The makers will be sending the trailer to theatres across the country so that it can be played with Jawan.”
The source continued, “The trailer of The Great Indian Family will also be out next week. Yash Raj Films (YRF) will be sending the trailer to all the theatres. The exhibitors will be asked to play it. The announcement video of the film has got a good response and moreover, it stars Vicky Kaushal, who just delivered a surprise hit in the form of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023). Hence, trade and exhibitors are looking forward to this film and will happily screen the trailer of The Great Indian Family.”
Salaar and The Great Indian Family are two films that belong to different genres but promise to entertain the audience with their star cast and storyline. Salaar is a pan-Indian film that features Prabhas as a violent gang leader who falls in love with Shruti Haasan’s character. The film also marks the debut of Vijay Sethupathi in Hindi cinema. Salaar has been shot in various locations across India and has a massive budget of ₹200–250 crore.
The Great Indian Family is a light-hearted comedy that revolves around the misadventures of a dysfunctional family headed by Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar. The film also features Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin and others in supporting roles. The film has been shot in Mumbai and Hyderabad and has a run time of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
