The makers of Saaho, both in the first look and teaser, did not emphasize the music director’s name, after the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Eloy parted ways with the project. The Saaho unit hired Tamil composer Ghibran for this movie.
An interesting fact is, the promotional video, Shades of Saaho, divided into two chapters, had S.S. Thaman composing the background score. This went on to become the talk of the town in the film circles.
However, owing to the pan Indian fans of Prabhas, Team Saaho wanted to hire a music director whose work is well known outside the Tollywood circles. Hence, they zeroed in on the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Loy, well known for their tunes in Bollywood, to score the music for Saaho.
Now, it is an open race for the music directors of the contemporary era to compose the music for Saaho. Reports say, Ghibran will be composing the background score, while some other Bollywood music director(s) would be taken on board to compose the songs for Saaho.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Ghibran himself would take over the song recording or Team Saaho would engage some other pan Indian composer to take on the reins.
