Vijay Kiragandur, the makers of the KGF franchise under Hombale Films, are the producers of Salaar. The film features Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy and Easwari Rao in prominent roles. Most of the technical team that has worked for KGF is now working on Salaar. Bhuvan Gowda is handling the cinematography, and Ujwal Kulkarni is the editor of the film. Ravi Basrur is composing the music.
