The makers of Project K have now announced the official title of the film to be Kalki 2898 A.D. Also, the video glimpse of the film Kalki is one of the exceptional glimpses that left the audience appalled at the futuristic vision and execution of the film. There has been very little to learn from this glimpse, making it even more interesting and thrilling. Recently, after this glimpse was released at the San Diego Comic Con 2023 event, the movie team interacted, sharing their vision for the Indian film. The event is attended by the cast and crew of the film, including Nag Ashwin, Prabhas, Aswani Dutt, Priyanka Dutt, and Swapna Dutt. Along with them, Rana Daggubati also attended the event.
During the interaction with the audience at the Comic Con event, Nag Ashwin spoke to them, saying that they were all on the world stage with Indian mythology on their shoulders. They are representing 100 years of Indian cinema, great actors, and movies made here. The filmmaker then stated that everyone loves superheroes in Hollywood movies. Hollywood has Superman, who can fly into space; Thor and the Hulk, who can break a building; and Indians have mythological characters like Hanuman, who can eat the sun and lift a mountain. He wants the world to know about Indian mythology. Nag Ashwin clarified Rana’s question about Kamal Haasan in the glimpse by saying that it started with Kamal Haasan, and he is present throughout while the audience doesn’t know how.
Prabhas expressed his excitement to be on a global stage representing the first Indian film, where many iconic films are launched. His role in the film is designed so well by Nag Ashwin that, with power, he also has great comic timing. Kalki 2898 A.D., deals with strong emotions. Prabhas thanked everyone who came from a long distance to attend this event.
Kamal Haasan stated that two negatives make a positive, hinting that the movie has two villains. He expressed his excitement to play a role in a time period that most of us will not see. Amitabh Bachchan could not attend the event but interacted and said that Project K is a very unusual and exciting experience. The kind of research Nag Ashwin has done is incredible.
