Prabhas-starrer Adipurush is the biggest release of this year. Directed by Om Raut, the film is just two days away from release and the excitement is quite palpable. The film's advance bookings have been phenomenal and trade reports suggest that it will create a new record on its opening day at the box office. Adipurush brings together Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in important roles.

10 INTERESTING TIDBITS ABOUT PRABHAS' ADIPURUSH:-

Adipurush's final trailer was unveiled on June 9 at Tirupati in the presence of several thousands of fans. The crew and the audience broke into Jai Shri Ram chants at the event.

1. Director Om Raut stumbled upon a 1992 Japanese film titled Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. He was impressed by the film and decided to adapt the film with the help of modern technology.

2. Adipurush's budget has been the talk of the town ever since its inception in 2020. Initially, the film's budget was pegged at Rs 400 crore. Since the makers had to rework on the visual effects after massive backlash, the makers increased the budget to Rs 500 crore.

3. Kriti Sanon was not the first choice for Adipurush. It was rumoured that Anushka Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani and Keerthy Suresh were considered to play Sita in the film.

4. Director Om Raut used the motion capture technique to helm this 3D film on Ramayana.

5. In 2021, days after the principal shoot began, fire broke out on the sets in Mumbai. Thankfully, none of them were injured. The makers were then forced to put up duplicate sets to continue the film's shooting.

6. The makers of Adipurush spent Rs 2 crore for the film's pre-release event. Huge screens were erected in Tirupati for the trailer launch. Thousands of fans from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chennai and Karnataka headed to Tirupati to attend the launch.

7. Earlier this year, Adipurush was supposed to have an early premiere at the Tribeca Festival in the Escape From Tribeca Section on June 13. However, the makers have cancelled the premiere for reasons best known to them. It is reported that Adipurush might find a spot in the Tribeca Film Festival. However, it is unlikely to be screened before June 16, ahead of the scheduled release date.

8. Reportedly, Prabhas charged a whopping Rs 150 crore as remuneration for Adipurush. With this, the Baahubali star became the highest-paid actor in Indian cinema.

9. Initially, Adipurush was planned to release in the IMAX format. However, now, the IMAX shows have been cancelled as screens have been allotted to The Flash well in advance.

10. While the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, Prabhas did not dub for his role in the Hindi version. Sharad Kelkar, who lent his voice to Prabhas in Baahubali, dubbed for him in Adipurush.
