Adipurush Telugu Movie Review: Modern Representation Of Mythological Epic Ramayana

Adipurush Telugu Movie Synopsis:

Adipurush, Rebel Star Prabhas‘ latest Telugu film under the direction of Bollywood filmmaker Om Raut, is currently the talk of the town. This is a bilingual film that is made in Telugu and Hindi. The devotional vibe of the film just adds more excitement to the audience to witness this magical film on big screens. The pre-release event and the trailers for the film have multiplied the expectations and excitement. Adipurush is releasing today in theaters. However, the advance bookings for this film have been crazy all over the country.

Adipurush is a mythological film that is based on the Indian epic Ramayana, which was written by Valmiki. Kriti Sanon is playing the role of Sita opposite Prabhas in this film. Adipurush is bankrolled by the production houses T-Series, Retrophiles, UV Creations, and People Media Factory. The music for this film was composed by Ajay- Atul and Sachet- Parampara.

Adipurush Telugu Movie Story:

Ikshvaku dynasty king Raghava (Lord Shree Rama) is the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu and is married to Janaki (Sita). On the word of his father Dasharatha, he went into exile for 14 years along with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana.

Lankesh Ravana abducted Janaki at his sister’s demand. The rest of the story is about how Lord Rama rescues his wife from the clutches of evil in a righteous way. On this journey, he sought the help of Lord Hanuman, Lakshman, Sugreev, Jambavanth, Vibhishan, and the army.

Adipurush Telugu Movie Review:

Adipurush clearly has the vibe of a devotional film, which was executed with great technical aspects. The scenes of Hanuman will be loved by every movie lover. The film Adipurush is a perfect blend of epic story, music, action, and performances.

On-Screen Performances:

Prabhas, as usual, has a charming look that has not left a chance to mesmerize the audience. He, as Lord Rama, is one of the perfect choices for the role with his physique, calmness, and honesty. His different looks throughout the film have worked well with the situations in the film.

Kriti Sanon as Sita performed with ease with her emotions when she was separated from her husband.

Devdatta Nage is no doubt the biggest strength of the whole film. He, as Hanuman, came as a surprise to the audiences in theaters. He will be seen with utmost devotion towards Lord Rama. His looks and appearance as Hanuman is apt.

Saif Ali Khan is a good embodiment of evil in the film as Lankesh.

All the other actors in the film were good representations of the respective roles they played, including Sunny Singh, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan, and others.

Off-Screen Technical Highlights:

Om Raut needs to be appreciated for the visualization of the Ramayana on a large scale like this. His idea of making this epic and bringing it to the audience in 3D was a brilliant one. He has researched the epic and written the script, starting with the COVID lockdown. The magic he has created on the screen with all the performances combined is just spellbinding. Om Raut kept in mind every small detail in the Ramayana and shaped it well into the plot of the film within the time frame he had.

Ajay-Atul has to have a special mention, as the music they have composed for Adipurush has elevated the whole experience of the Ramayana. The music was great—melodic during the Sita Rama song and thrilling during the war sequences. The songs have already won millions of hearts since being released on social media. Sachet- Parampara’s Ram Sita Ram song is also very good.

Karthik Palani has dealt with the camera very well.

End Note:

Adipurush is an epic that is portrayed in a magical way for the audience, and this will be one of the best cinematic experiences of the Ramayana on screen.

All hail Jai Shree Rama.
