Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Adipurush opened to mixed reviews on June 16. While the film released amid much expectations, trade analysts had predicted the opening to be huge. The film released in five languages (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada) and Day 1 global figures has confirmed that the film received a thunderous opening.
ADIPURUSH BO COLLECTION DAY 1
Om Raut-directorial Adipurush released on June 16 after multiple delays. Starring Prabhas as Raghav, the film was brutally trolled for its VFX and dialogues on its opening day. However, some also felt Prabhas did justice to his role in the film. Day 1 early estimates suggest that Adipurush received a thunderous opening in theatres. The film might even touch Rs 100 crore on the first day across all languages!
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has dropped the confirmed box office figures of Adipurush. The film minted Rs 140 crore (gross) globally. As per Sacnilk data, the film earned Rs 36 crore in the Hindi belt, Rs 48 crore in Telugu, Rs 0.40 crore in Malayalam, Rs 0.70 crore in Tamil and Rs 0.4 crore in Kannada version of the film. The domestic box office total collection stands at Rs 85.5 crore.
It is now safe to deem that Adipurush witnessed the biggest opener of the year.
