Indian cinema is being taken to the next level in terms of technical gadgets, using props and set property, etc.
Sujeeth, the promising director, composed a lot of stunts himself for Saaho, Prabhas said in a recent interview. With a visionary director like Sujeeth, Saaho has come up as an out and out action thriller, with top notch creative effects.
The technical team of Saaho was camping in Abu Dhabi for months together, to work on the movie’s creative graphics. The cinematographer, Madhie, who shot the action sequences abroad in the stewardship of Hollywood action director Kenny Bates, shared some tidbits about the making of Saaho.
1. A huge array of cameras, 80, to be precise, were used by the cinematography team, under the guidance of Madhie and the supervision of Kenny Bates.
2. An extensive rehearsal was arranged for the whole action sequence shoot in Abu Dhabi, with a 120 member action team rehearsing the action stunts of Prabhas and his antagonists in Saaho.
3. Prabhas did the bike sequences with full dedication, without any body doubles. The action sequences were shot extensively, for 20 days at a stretch.
4. Prabhas underwent a lot of changes in his get ups for Saaho, as per the mood of the scenes. Madhie shared an interesting fact about several camera angles which were set up for depicting Prabhas in different lighting and shades. The theme of Saaho being a thriller, the frames are set up in light and shadows.
5. Producers Vamsi, Vikram and Pramod played a pivotal role in overseeing the affairs of the movie’s action sequences. An 8 minute action sequence cost a whopping Rs. 70 crores, keeping in mind the cutting edge technology used to shoot the scene. However, for the producers alone, it would have been impossible to get such great output from the movie. Saaho is a labor of love of many technicians, who worked day and night for a better output.
Give the Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho a watch this August 30th.
