Ace director SS Rajamouli, who is basking in the huge success of "Baahubali - the Beginning", is said to be contemplating on roping in Bollywood actors for the movie's sequel.
"Baahubali" is a two-part period movie written by V Vijayendra Prasad and SS Rajamouli. The first part titled "Baahubali - the Beginning" was released on 10 July and become the fourth highest grosser Indian movie with its 20-day worldwide collection reaching Rs 450 crore. The film is still doing well at ticket counters across the globe.
In a bid to create curiosity among viewers, SS Rajamouli has put an abrupt end to "Baahubali - the Beginning", which ends with the announcement of the release date of its sequel (September 2016). The movie has left many question unanswered, which has increased the curiosity of audiences across the globe for the sequel.
"Baahubali - the Beginning" has been getting positive response not only from the audience, but also from Indian superstars and international critics and trade experts, who are curious about its sequel. Now, "Baahubali 2" is riding on the huge amount of expectations.
Hence, even as "Baahubali - the Beginning" continues its success run at ticket counters in its third week, SS Rajamouli is busy with the preparation for the production of its sequel. Along with southern actors, he has reportedly planned to rope in some Bollywood stars to extend the reach of the sequel in the global market.
It may be recalled here that SS Rajamouli brought ace Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar on board to present its Hindi version of "Baahubali - the Beginning". His association has helped the movie increase its prospects, with the Hindi version collecting over Rs 90 crore nett at the Indian box office in 20 days.
"Baahubali - the Beginning" has become a blockbuster success without having any nationally- acclaimed hero in it. Now, by planning to cast some popular Bollywood actors in the sequel, SS Rajamouli is planning to create another landmark in the history of Indian cinema, say experts. Speculation is high on which Bollywood star will be roped in for the film.
