Mahesh Babu's upcoming film Srimanthudu is eyeing July 17th release as of now. It might be pushed to the end of July or August if Baahubali comes on July 10th.
Although Mahesh Babu announced the release date of Srimanthudu, the business of this film is not closed except for a couple of territories.
As per trade reports Srimanthudu makers are quoting high prices that buyers are thinking twice to bag the distribution rights.
Mahesh Babu’s strongest areas like Nizam and Overseas rights were sold long ago. Even the West Godavari deal was closed but all the remaining areas are still open.
There is no doubt about the craze and expectations on this film but the buyers must be waiting for the clarity over the release date. They don’t want this film to clash with mighty Baahubali.
Buyers may not shell out big bucks if there isn’t considerable gap between the releases of these movies. Not just the post release business even the pre release business of Srimanthudu is linked with Baahubali going by the reports.
