The much-anticipated movie of the year, Kalki 2898 AD, is set for release on June 27, 2024. Featuring pan-Indian stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, the movie is directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame.
As the release date approaches, numerous speculations have been circulating online, the latest being about Deepika Padukone’s character. According to the buzz, Deepika will portray the reincarnation of the goddess Lakshmi, with her character named Padma in the movie.
These rumours are yet to be confirmed, and if true, it will be interesting to see how Nag Ashwin has designed her character. So far, nothing has been officially revealed about Deepika’s role.
Disha Patani is another female lead in this mythological sci-fi drama, which also features Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Pasupathy, and Rajendra Prasad in key roles. Backed by Vyjayanthi Movies on a monumental scale, the movie’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
