The much-awaited action thriller Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire starring Prabhas in the lead role is all set to hit the screens on September 28, 2023. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, has been generating a huge buzz ever since its announcement. The teaser of the film, which was released on July 6, 2023, has crossed over 100 million views on YouTube and has received rave reviews from the audience and critics alike.
Salaar Advance Booking Crosses $40.3K In Two Hours
Now, the advance booking for the film has started in the USA and the response has been phenomenal. With 37 days still to go for the premieres, the film sold approximately 1400 tickets worth $40.3K from 268 shows in 107 locations within a couple of hours. The film is being distributed by Hombale Films in association with Weekend Cinema USA and is releasing in over 500 screens across the country.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar has been planned for a massive release across North America. It has already been confirmed to release in over 1979 locations, including approximately 315 Cinemark theaters which is the widest release for an Indian movie ever.
As for the initial advance booking response, the period action drama film is projected to score, at least, $1.5+ million from premiere shows alone in the USA which is going to be excellent numbers. Overall, the overseas pre-sales of Salaar is expected to be one of the highest ever for an Indian title
Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire is a high-octane action drama that revolves around the life of Salaar, a ruthless gangster who faces a formidable enemy in Vardharaja Mannaar, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film also features Shruti Haasan as the female lead, Jagapathi Babu as Raja Mannaar, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in pivotal roles. The music of the film is composed by Ravi Basrur, while the cinematography is done by Bhuvan Gowda.
The film is being made on a massive budget of around Rs. 200-250 crore and is expected to be a visual spectacle for the fans of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. The film is also being dubbed and released in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
