Prabhas rose to pan Indian fame post the Baahubali (2015 and 2017) franchise. After Baahubali, Prabhas starred in the action thriller Saaho (2019,) written and directed by Sujeeth. The movie was made on a whopping budget of 350 crores and was also one of the highest grossing movies of that year.
Director Sujeeth in a talk shown with Tharun Bhascker revealed how he got to make such a big budget movie with Prabhas. He talked about how Prabhas was the one to introduce him to UV Creations, the makers of Saaho. Sujeeth stated that Prabhas never put any pressure on him given the colossal scale on which the movie was made. He said “Prabhas anna believes me more than I believe in myself. Even now, if I call and ask, he would do a movie with me (sic.)” He also revealed that Prabhas is one of the best people he knows in his life and is a great listener.
Given the pan Indian star that Prabhas is, he is currently swamped with a string of exciting and diverse projects. Prabhas is working opposite Pooja Hegde for the period romantic drama Radhe Shyam directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. Prabhas will be seen in the action movie alongside Shruti Haasan in Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel. Prabhas is also filming for the mythological movie Adipurush alongside Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh, directed by Om Raut.
