Powerstar Pawan Kalyan announced his decision to donate 2 crore rupees yesterday to help the fight against Coronavirus. Ever since Pawan Kalyan’s news about his donation went public, it ignited a movement of sorts. Various Tollywood celebrities and production houses began to announce monetary contributions to the relief funds of Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Young Rebel Star Prabhas is the latest to contribute monetary aid to the government. The Saaho star donated 50 lakh rupees each to the Chief Minister’s relief funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Prabhas also announced a monetary aid of 3 crore rupees to the Prime Minister’s relief fund. This is the highest donation so far from Tollywood. Veteran actor Megastar Chiranjeevi announced a donation of 1 crore rupees yesterday to help the underprivileged in the Tollywood.
When Prabhas announced his decision to donate, his fans were excited and did not waste any time in celebrating the news online. The Baahubali star quickly began trending on Twitter for his generous donation. Other stars who donated were Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Anil Ravipudi, Trivikram Srinivas and production house Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Prabhas is currently working on an untitled film Prabhas20 which will have Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Radha krishna is directing the movie which is unofficially being referred to as Jaan. Radha Krishna also mentioned a first look for the movie will be released soon. The entire cast and crew safely returned back from Georgia after completing a long schedule that was forced to finish early due to the coronavirus scare.
