Many dream to make it big in Tollywood and direct the biggest of stars in the market and be the number one director. Only few imagine to also be catapulted to new heights in Bollywood, as Sujeeth is now experiencing, with Saaho releasing in Hindi as well.
Sujeeth was a rookie director when he pitched the script of Saaho to Prabhas. Prabhas was then shooting vigorously for the Baahubali series. Prabhas was a part of the pre release event of Run Raja Run (2014,) which was Sujeeth’s first film as a director. It was an association from the days of Run Raja Run (also a UV Creations product like Saaho,) which eventually led to Sujeeth becoming a part of Prabhas’ family.
Prabhas is a person who stands firm on his decisions and does not move back after he takes a call about a movie. We have observed this in the past too, with Prabhas okaying Raghava Lawrence’s Rebel (2012,) even when others dissuaded him from signing the film. As a man of compassion, Prabhas understands well about the directors’ predicament and about the directors’ thought process, thanks to the school from which he comes—the Rajamouli school.
So, when Sujeeth narrated the script of Saaho to Prabhas, the latter politely explained the situation in which he was with the Bahubali series and told Sujeeth to wait till he completes the epic. Saaho, in a way, is a labor of love for both Sujeeth and Prabhas. Superstar Prabhas stood like a rock during the whole shooting process, in India and abroad.
We had reports doing the buzz, Prabhas monitored the whole shooting and special effects process, including the editing of scenes, to get the best out of the lot. Sujeeth is lucky enough to have an understanding hero like Prabhas, who gives his life and soul to the project once he commits to it.
With the Saaho teaser releasing and the fans going berserk, Sujeeth, in a way, has hit the jackpot with his directorial reaching a huge audience, including the Hindi belt. The young director, who was groomed by UV Creations, is now ready to shine in Bollywood too, with Saaho.
