The 100 days function of 'Young Rebel Star' Prabhas starrer 'Chatrapati' was held at Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens on Tuesday, February 14. It was a star-studded event that drew fans from across the state and the who's who of the tinselworld turned in. The entire cast and crew of the film were present on the occasion.
An exclusive video of behind-the-scenes and making of the movie was played during the event.
Incidentally, the event was the first ever 100 days function to go live on television.
EVV Satyanarayana said, "The film had all the right ingredients to create the much-needed hit to buoy a sagging industry."
VV Vinayak said, "The film can be compared to the Amitabh starrer 'Deewar'. Hats off to Rajamouli for coming up with such a brilliant film. The interval point of the film is better than 'Simhadri'."
YVS Chowdary said, "MM Keeravani is my all-time favorite music director. I knew him since my assistant director days. It was through him that I came to know about Rajamouli. I knew he would make it big one day. With this film he proved himself to be one of the very best directors in the Telugu film industry."
The producers of SS Rajamouli-directed films K. Raghavendra Rao, Sudhakar Reddy (on behalf of 'Sye' producer - A. Bharati), BVSN Prasad and ML Kumar Chowdary received surprise gifts from him. K. Raghavendra Rao received a law book, while Sudhakar Reddy received a rugby ball.
Lawrence and Prabhas performed for the song 'A Vacchi B Pai Vale', which was rendered by MM Keeravani. Madhu Sharma and Nikitha also performed at the event.
In his brief address, the chief guest of the evening, Vikram said he would love to work in films like 'Chatrapati'. Everything about the film was commendable. "I now know why his fans call Prabhas 'Young Rebel Star'," he further added.
Krishnam Raju said, "Events like this will help the technicians perform better on their next assignment. We are waiting for the right subject. Prabhas is an extremely talented actor and there's a strong possibility that we will work together in the future." Later director Rajamouli announced he would direct a film starring Krishnam Raju and Prabhas.
Prabhas said, "It seems I have to be careful choosing my films in the future. I will do only those roles that excite my fans."
